TOMATO/Tamoto

One of my BBB (best blogger buddies) suggested that I make my pumpkin in red and turn it into a tomato, So I searched high and low for some red fleece and of coarse I had none. Being im broke (ok so I'm always broke) we will say a limited income, very very limited. I did find some red cotton fabric. So here is to you SewFunky!!! My Tomato!

my gifts and a monkey

My eldest daughter Colleen came to vist us for 5 wonderful short days! We had a great time. She arrived on Thursday morning. Waisting no time we went shopping at Cost Co where she spoiled me and took care of me getting me vitimins. LOL She filled my gas tank and laughed at me as I squealed with wonder when the tank hit full and over. Silly me! The seconed day was Halloween, so we took it easy and then took Barbie trick or treating. Saturday was another full day of eating out and that evening I drove Barbie and Colleen to a haunted corn field. Barbie cried all the way through it and was very scared. We learned not to do that again. Was a bit dissapointing for Colleen but we had no idea. Sunday was Church and then out to eat at this wonderful restruant we found. Oh for got to mention on Saturday we went to the park and played then found a garage sale and she bought me the christmas fabric and pompoms. Monday we went to BarnsandKnoble and she got The cute book and the Shack. Love the books! Sadly Monday night was time for her to fly home. Barbie cried all the way home from the airport. She will return and I totally enjoyed her visit. Today I had to make a item from my The cute book so that is where the monkey comes in.

A new donut pincushion

These are so so fun to make and easy on the hands and eyes as mine have been failing me latley along with my thought process. Somehow latley I can't seem to follow any written directions or my eyes wont allow me to do simple work. Then there are my hands who just quit holding onto things that im gripping. It dosent make for good cooking,sewing or any crafting.

Birthday gift!

My sisters birthday is on Halloween so had to make her a quick gift. I got it online as a craft pannel, just cut out and follow the directions. Glad she loves it!

Rocking chair made from clothespins

I'm so very happy to share this! It was quick and fun to make! Made out of clothes pins and superglue! I think I will use it for a pincushion (although its pretty large (8 inches tall) I have seen some of the mini clothes pins and may have to try again for a smaller pincushion to possibly sell on my esty store. Barbie and our new family Member Lilly

My neighbor (Missy) got this pup when it was just a few wks old, she is now 4 months old. Missy dropper fed her till she was weened. (problems with the mother dog) She had intended on keeping her but at first thought she was a he, then when she had her for a bit decided she should be mine. I said no for a month, and then broke down and couldnt say no again. So She is ours now. She is a very sweet dog and needed more potty training and we are working on that. I have to say (after I tell you she goes out for a walk several times a day) she has not pottied in the house thus far. We have had her for 4 days now! She is a good pup!

Confy Chair pincushion

This pincushion was too much fun to make! Im selling it on my Esty store if your interested. I need to get to my sewing I have a birthday gift for my oldest sis in the making.

Donut pincushion

This was so fun to make! I saw a pattern you could buy but thought I could figure it out by myself. (As most who know me know I never have money LOL) So went though my fabric and found the dark brown (choc donut) Then it was just figure out how to stuff and sew. I used invisible thread yes it was a pain but paid off! Barbie (my 8 yr old got really upset with me as she said "Mom dont show me that now I want a donut" It was pretty funny as she was really annoyed we didnt have any! So now I have to figure out what food I want to make next lmao

two new made by me spindles and one made by me pincushion

I love the way these spindles turned out. They are made with donut beads chop sticks and a cup hook! the red one i got to spin so fine its like a thin thread! Im so so happy. The pincushion was fun to make!
