Pinwheel quilt block

This is my first attempt at a quilt block, I really think i need the wheel cutter and board to get these lines more straight. Looking at the picture I can see its not completely square. In my defense I did buy the squares on ebay quite a bit ago. I did measure them and they were a tad off but I had hoped it wouldn't show. LOL Live and learn. also its all hand sewn

BRAVO!! *cheers, claps, whistles!* Way to go, it's great! What a good job for your first block! Most people try squares, but you tried half square triangles! I'm so proud of you! I can't believe you sewed it by hand, you have 1000x more patience than me!

I think you have done a GREAT job! Your points all match beautifully in the middle, that is where it counts. If you use a square ruler to trim the outsides, the "unsquare" nature of the block won't show. Bravo!

Handsewn too... I don't have the patience, LoL

Looks great even if it still needs to be squared up. If you have a JoAnn's nearby, sign up for their email newsletter and their print advertisements that they send to your house. When you get a 50% off coupon, use it to get one of their rotary cutter and mat packages. You can get a nice starter set for a small amount of $.

Keep up the good work :)
