Olivia's Birthday Gift

My Great niece Olivia will be 1 on July 5th. Can you beleave I made this same pattern for her Aunt about 30 yrs ago? It still is a nice sun outfit for a baby, and besides the baby can't complain. I can't wait to get a picture back of her wearing it. Oh did i mention I live in Indiana and she and her Mom are in Calif. So I had better get busy and add the snaps on the back (as you can see there are none there now) So I can put this in the mail quickly. I'm so so happy to have babies to sew and knit for! If you look closely or even click on the pic you can see the butterfly I added to the back of the hat. As an after thought I'm including a pic of the pattern

Another dress

Ive been looking at blogging latley and it seems im a bit boreing. LOL So im going to try to put a bit more thought into it and attempt on making things a bit more interesting. I made this little dress for a neighbors child. Her name is Mikia. She is 2, on July 5th the day before Barbie turns 8. It was one of those cut out the preprinted on fabric patterns. I did have to cut out another fabric to line it as the fabric is very thin. I love the strawberrys on it. Hope it fits her and hope to add a pic of her in it after her birthday. Was a simple one day sew, the kind I love. Now im working on a summer outfit for my great niece Olivia, who will be 1 on July 5th also. Better get busy as i have to have it there by then as I have to mail it from Indiana to Calif.

Short set for Jaden

Another outfit complete. Although I wish I had her here to try ti on. Its for Barbie's friend Jaden. Hope she loves it! I enjoyed sewing it.

I love how this turned out! She is such a ham, had to have pic of herself on her bike. Her favorate thing in the world. Wach out world when she starts driving! LOL

Another dress

Barbie's friend Unique came over the past two days i have been sewing and noticed Barbie had two new dresses. She was envious and told Barbie she was lucky to have a mom that sews. So me being the mother i am i asked her if she would like one. I didnt have enough fabric to do the exact dress like Barbies but had some other sunflower fabric so this is what she ended up with! I will get a pic later of her wearing it hopefully. if you click on the pic you can see the big sunflowers on the front are actually pockets!

Patterns and such

I just got these home from the store. Now I will be busy sewing. YEA! For those of you who Blog do you ever wonder why. Some days i get sad as i post my heart out and then come back, looking through my post i have 0 to 1 comments for the most part. I look daily with hope and excitement. But to my dismay lately there are none. I do have to give my good friend Lisa D alot of credit as she seems to post a comment alot for me. Thanks sweetie.

Another sewn dress for Barbie

Same pattern as the sunflower dress, she decided she wanted this one longer. Now I have been informed the next one will please have pockets. LOL Im going to walmart this weekend (if we have the $) to get a different pattern.

New knitting pattern

A little sewing

Barbie asked me for a new summer dress. Well i saw on Freecycle someone giving fabric. So.......... looked through my patterns, well somehow my little girl grew! LOL So had to go buy a pattern then ended up with a size too small so after cutting out the dress i had the side and shoulder seams sewn and realized (after retrying it on her) it was too small. This dress has side panels added to it and a bit longer at the shoulders (cut extra long with pattern) I will get a pic later of her wearing it, as she is at vacation bible school (gave me free sewing time yea!) Effects of the flooding

here are some more of the effects of that storm. You can see the one pic is of the playground that was underwater. Previous post with it under water. It sits next to the creek and down from most of the houses. But still it was at least 7 ft deep when the water was up.

my new wheel (old but new to me)

this is the pic that i got off ebay so i dont have it all assembled and as you can see the footman needs repaired , I will get some linseed oil for it and repair that and then assemble but im so so pleased had to share with all!!!
