The color is not showing up well here in the pic but its a hunter green. Here is the link to the pattern: Its a Lion Brand pattern that is free from there web site http://www.lionbrand.com/printablepatterns/70807AD.pdf hope that link works for you. Its called Fresh/Picked color 3/4 sleeve Cardigan. They say its easy+ But as many of you know who know me I had to have lots of help! Thanks everyone for your help! I do like how it turned out. Barbie seems happy so that is good too!
Yesterday in the mail, I recived this beautiful yarn. From my good friend Betty http://mysticklobo.blogspot.com/ you can find out what a wonderful person she is there. Thanks Betty!!!
Not really what I expected from this pattern. I'm upset as i paid for this pattern, it was confusing to read and had some typos I had to figure out. Didn't turn out as lacy as I would have liked. But all and all I'm sure my beautiful grand daughter wont complain. After all she is only a few months old. Thanks for looking!
Today I helped my MIL reorganize her walk in closet. She had a few things from her Mothers things that she kindly rewarded me with. Although I don't think she thought of it that way as she is a very kind and giving person. These things will be close to my heart as her Mother was a wonderful person too. I feel very special to have received them. And look what treasures they are even a learn to crochet book by Susan Bates! I feel like I struck gold!!! Also she had 2 beautiful cape type poncho's she had knit years ago for her Mother. She was gonna give them away but I couldnt let her! They will be pictured later on my blog soon! She did a beautiful job!
I recived these in the mail today and adding the link to where you can get some. She dosent seem to have them on hand but she is very quick about making them to order! Arent they beautiful!!! thanks for looking. http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5010356
I do love the way these turned out, they were the practice pair so I could make my mistakes on them. I did learn to cut them a bit bigger at the top of the foot and the part that goes around the foot. Barbie loves these reguardless and is wearing them now. :) So it makes it all worth while!
ok here is the link i found http://blog.craftzine.com/archive/2007/01/craft_pattern_podcast_repurpos.html Not quite finished as i need to add snaps to the sides they say to use vlecro but I like the snaps better. I did learn i need to cut them out a bit more for the toe area to cover the toes. Will have to go to the fabric store to get them. still working on #2 slipper but learned from these and am working on another pair for Jadens sister, dont want her to feel left out! Im useing a free pattern from online but have (as always) altered it to fit what i like. Thanks for taking a look!
Barbie turned 8 yesterday, geesh time goes by so fast! She really had a wonderful day, and was so happy to have so many people around on her birthday! We worked hard to get this together and im happy everything went so well. 20 people for hot dogs chips soda's then cake and ice cream. The children all played in the sprinkler and had a wonderful time. Baribe recived lots of very nice gifts. We got her a bike that her dad took her to the store and let her pick out. thanks for reading and shareing part of my life.
Here is a pic of my MeMe as we call her. She turned two today and I had to get a pic of her in the dress I had made her. I think she liked the sponge bob bag a bit better than the dress. LOL But im so pleased it fit her, well its a little big but she may be able to wear it next yr too!!! Thanks for looking!
