Hat and mittens complete
Nothing like a smiling child to make your knitting an accomplishment! This is a neighbor child who also is a class mate of Barbie's. I'm a little disappointed that hat came out so large but I keep forgetting how much smaller this child really is than Barbie. She didn't happen to have pony tails in but that is what the hat was made for. The mittens fit her to a T! All that matters is she is happy! And warm of coarse! She looked up at me this morning and asked if I could do butterflies on the next mittens and hat. hmmmm will have to look into that. (I have made her mittens for the past 2 yrs now

key Chain crochet hook
I saw this on someone's blog, not sure where so I could give her credit. Any way its a crochet hook on a key type chain. You know when you are somewhere and you have dropped stiches and panic! Well this little gaget is a saviour. I have to admit I made mine for me. I took a size K alum hook drilled a hole in the flat part then used a hack saw to cut off the end just where the flat part starts. added the hook gizmo and there you go!!

Finished Shrug
here she is finally
Here it is! I couldn't get Barbie to stand still long enough to get a pic I will try later and add to this post. I had some problems reading the pattern but I think its my experience level so will have to pay more attention next time. I think if I do it again I will use heavier yarn as I think it should have been a bit bigger as I made a size 10. Now I'm working on Mittens and hats for 2 neighbor girls. Pictures to follow when i complete! Thanks for looking I love the comments!!! I need to add the picture is not the best and if you click on the pic it gets bigger so you can see I did not goof on the collar!

Hubby first slipper sock!
Hubby feeling sorry for my frustration not being able to make what I wanted told me, OK make me some socks that i can wear around the house to keep my feet warm with no shoes or slippers, so here is the first one done with worsted weight yarn, done on #3 knitting needles, no pattern just help from my friend Jill. Thanks so much Jill!!! Will cast on #2 sock now!!!
My Surprise Package!
Yesterday as I was sitting feeling sorry for myslef because I wanted to make this shrug for Barbie, and i had no yarn that would fit the bill plus the fact I was dead broke. Here comes the mail lady with a package. Im thinking (I didn't order anything and was not expecting a package) Looked at the return address and still was puzzled. Opened the package and there was a envalope with written on it Surprise! I had gotten some yarn from a dear lady on ebay and we had conversed through email, well she decided I could use this yarn more than she could! Wow! I'm elated at this point! There was a sweet note included and yarn I can use to make this shrug sweater for Barbie YEA! Thanks Kathy!!! God Bless you!
